Kinship AS ("Kin", "we") is the data controller for personal data processed through this website. This policy covers yourkin.no and yourkin.org. The Kin watch and parent app will get their own privacy policy before the product ships.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist we store the email address you give us and the time you signed up. When you contact us we keep the correspondence. Our hosting provider records technical log data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to run and secure the service.
Analytics and error reporting
We do not use advertising trackers, and we never sell personal data. We may use analytics and error-reporting tools (PostHog and Sentry) to understand how the site is used and to fix problems. When enabled, these tools receive technical data about your device and how you use the site.
Why we process it
We process waitlist emails based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We process technical log data, error reports and contact correspondence based on our legitimate interest in running, securing and improving the service and in answering you.
Who we share it with
The site and its database are hosted by Scaleway in the European Union. Analytics and error-reporting providers process data on our behalf when enabled. We disclose personal data to others only when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Waitlist emails are kept until you ask us to remove you or the waitlist is closed. Technical logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes. Correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle your request.
Children
This website is aimed at parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through it. How children's data is protected in the Kin watch and parent app will be described in the product's own privacy policy.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, ask for a copy of your data, and withdraw consent at any time. Email stian.laate@yourkin.no and we will respond without undue delay. You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
Changes
We update this policy when our processing changes and revise the date at the top of the page.
